It is my greatest honour and privilege to be let into my clients' inner worlds. I appreciate so much the vulnerability and courage it takes to seek therapy and want to acknowledge the strength it takes to get the support you need.
Background
I am passionate about helping my clients connect to themselves and understand themselves more deeply. I use a gentle, curious, and empathetic approach to therapy that aims to help you create a kind and compassionate relationship with yourself.
As a person of colour and immigrant, I believe that each person's unique cultural identity is an essential part of understanding them holistically, and I am committed to creating a culturally sensitive and inclusive therapeutic environment. I believe that every person has the ability to live a meaningful, authentic life and build fulfilling relationships, and I will work with you to achieve that. My approach to therapy is non-pathologising, meaning that I see my clients as whole people with strengths and resilience, rather than a collection of symptoms to be fixed.
Approach to Therapy
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is at the core of effective therapy. I enjoy building genuine human connections with my clients and creating a space where you can feel seen, heard and validated. I believe that authentic connections are fundamental for our mental health and general wellbeing. Together, we’ll work to create a strong therapeutic relationship that honors your unique needs and goals.
In our sessions, we'll work together to make sense of your emotions and internal experiences. I believe that by exploring and understanding these parts of ourselves, we can create greater emotional balance and resilience. Through our work together, you can expect to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, your relationships, and your place in the world.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
When I'm not working, you can find me crocheting blankets, reading, playing with my two cats, doing jigsaw puzzles, exploring the world on my bike, or learning new recipes. I strongly believe that embracing fun and finding delight in the little things is essential, and I bring that same spirit of playfulness and curiosity into my work as a therapist.
